Bishop Tyrone L. Seals is a multifaceted individual, not only serving as a preacher but, also as a singer, teacher, musician, funeral home owner, and wedding officiant. He is the visionary and founder of New Birth Baptist Assembly, an organization dedicated to inspiring its members to fulfill "The Great Commission, To go there forth; and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Bishop Seals' mission is to spread the message of hope and acceptance to those who are hurting, depressed, and confused, showing them the love of Christ." His vision extends beyond the residents of Southern Nevada, aiming to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people worldwide. New Birth's goal is to unite individuals of all races into one family, equipping them to advance the Kingdom of God.
Bishop Seals, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. He has been dedicated to his faith since childhood. Bishop accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of six. He received his education from the American Baptist Theological Seminary Extension in Las Vegas and has served as a pastor at various churches throughout his career.
In 2001, he renamed New Birth Baptist Assembly, from Metropolitan Institutional Baptist Church as he was led by God this is where he still serves as Senior Pastor after its establishment 38 years ago. Bishop Seals furthered his education at the African American Joint College of Bishops in Cleveland, Ohio. From 2016 to 2019, he was the 2nd Vice President of the Nevada/California Interstate Missionary Baptist Convention. Bishop Seals' commitment to his faith and community is unwavering, as he continues to lead and inspire those around him. Currently, Bishop serves as the Convention's Vice President at Large.
Bishop Seals has achieved numerous triumphs on local, national, and international levels. He has held various prestigious positions, including serving as the former General Secretary of the Nevada/California Interstate Baptist Convention and as a board member of the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, where he promoted healthy lifestyles. Additionally, he was a member of the Father’s House under the leadership of the Late Bishop Eddie L. Long Ministries in Lithonia, Georgia.
Furthermore, Bishop Seals is a board member of the MICTAN AIDS Foundation, which educates people worldwide about AIDS prevention and detection. Some of his recent accomplishments include receiving the Community Service Award from Major Oscar Goodman of Las Vegas, Nevada in 2004, being honored by the Air Force Sergeants Association at Nellis Air Force Base in 2008, and receiving an accommodation from the city of Las Vegas in 2012 for his outstanding leadership and community efforts.
In 2014, he received a Proclamation from Governor Brian Sandoval, and in 2017, he was awarded the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award of Honor from the Black Music Award. In 2019, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Nevada/California Interstate Missionary Baptist Convention and the Community Trailblazer Award from the Christ Society Group. Bishop Seals also co-wrote the song "Bread of Heaven" with the Gospel Group, New Edition, and is featured on Frederick Westbrook’s album, "The Last Chapter."
In 2001, Bishop Seals married Larnique Mickens of West Palm Beach, Florida. Larnique, a retired Air Force Veteran with 24 years of service. She is a funeral director and notary. Together, they are the proud parents of a blended family of seven children.
